Straight into the opening climb along Bury New Road — 43 metres up through Coronation and Springwater Parks in the first 1.8k. Once you've crested, Higher Lane carries you back to town on a welcome gradual descent. The climb is concentrated and short; the rest of the route is an easy recovery.
